  • Reduced counts in U.S. cases and deaths are the result of states and territories not reporting the information for some or all of the weekend. Those states and territories are: Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Guam, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Northern Mariana Islands, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, U.S. Virgin Islands, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. Typically, these states" Monday updates include the weekend totals.

  • As of June 30, 2022, Minnesota has moved to once weekly reporting. The reports will be published on Thursdays.

Minnesota

  • As of Thursday, June 30, the Minnesota Department of Health will be moving from daily updates to weekly updates on the Situation Update website. Data will be updated on Thursdays at 11 a.m. Additionally, starting the week of July 4, the vaccine breakthrough weekly update will start being updated on Thursdays instead of Mondays.

  • During the week of January 4, 2022, the Minnesota Department of Health identified an issue that caused COVID-19 PCR test results from certain labs not to be processed into its surveillance system. The issue caused a delay in about 135,000 test results being loaded into its system from December 28, 2021 to January 3, 2022. The issue has been fixed and the Minnesota Department of Health is working on reviewing all the delayed positive test results. Cases from these tests will be included in its data in the coming days.
